Born in 1954 and currently lives and works in Hillsborough, NJ.

Phil Welsher has received awards in national and international juried shows and competitions. Never remembering a time when he did not draw and paint, Phil works in a representational style often with juxtaposed imagery creating an interplay between art and commentary on people, society and the human condition.

Images of cats are mostly of rescued animals that have spent time sharing his home and conveniently posing for him.
